How Much And How Often Do I Feed My Baby?

A Feeding Guide For Year One

Baby has arrived! Congratulations!

There is so much going on and so much that you are feeling. But one thing is for sure, you have your baby's sleep and feed schedule on your mind. It is a juggling act on the mental load. While I specialize in the sleep side of things, feeding is a big part of the conversation.

For more on the relationship between sleep and feeding, see my post The 411 on Feeding and Sleep: What comes first?

To help ease the load when it comes to feeding, I give you my Feeding Guide for Year One below. All babies (and moms) are unique and have different needs, so please know that. These are recommendations, but I know there are many factors involved.

Talk to your doctor if you have any concerns, or work with a lactation consultant to help if you are struggling with feeding.

Feeding content above vetted and supported by The Modern Way Lactation. Follow @themodernwaylactation for supportive, effective and just straight up awesome breastfeeding and feeding advice and support.
